The 20:06 229 goes from opposite the Pheasant to Birstall Market Place or Smithies Lane, i.e. just before the Bradford Road traffic lights, a short distance from the Greyhound. Then it's 11 minutes walk to the Black Bull and 8 more to the Horse & Jockey.
Return to Dewsbury/Batley is via 22:09 or 23:09 283A a minute from the Black Bull and Horse & Jockey or a 5 minute walk to market place for the 229 at 22:36 (or 23:36 to Heckmondwike). The last 229 to Leeds leaves at around 22:20.
