When does the local branch meet?

We usually meet monthly for an open branch meeting where we discuss current matters and decide such things as which pubs to nominate for the Good Beer Guide, which to award a Pub of the Season and/or Pub of the Year certificate to, all done democratically and as fairly as we can.
Other topics include beer festivals, pub preservation and local pub news, which is the main source of content for the news pages of our quarterly branch magazine, Real Ale Talk.

Branch meeting and AGM Wednesday 9 September 2026 19:00 Black Bull
A brief monthly meeting covering essential points followed at 7:30pm by the branch AGM.
Nominations for committee will be welcomed.
Lower Hopton/Mirfield social Thursday 17 September 2026 19:00 Lower Hopton WMC
Social starting at Lower Hopton WMC which has one or two well-kept ales, followed around 7:45 by the award-winning Flowerpot, then around 8:45 the Navigation, the latter two providing a good selection of ales of varied styles, kept in Good Beer Guide quality.
October Branch meeting Wednesday 7 October 2026 19:00 Spen Tap
Monthly Members' Meeting including regular business, pub news and
voting for our Autumn Club of the Season (proxy voting available)
We will use the upstairs room for our meeting and enjoy the three well-kept and well chosen ales from the bar.

Social starting 7pm at the Shoulder of Mutton, then 7:40 OC Freehouse (Old Colonial), then 8:45 Dusty Miller (approximate times).
