When does the local branch meet?
We usually meet monthly for an open branch meeting where we discuss current matters and decide such things as which pubs to nominate for the Good Beer Guide, which to award a Pub of the Season and/or Pub of the Year certificate to, all done democratically and as fairly as we can.
Other topics include beer festivals, pub preservation and local pub news, which is the main source of content for the news pages of our quarterly branch magazine, Real Ale Talk.

Scotland Inn
Social on the route of the 283/283A bus, starting at the Scotland around 7pm then to the Black Bull, the Horse & Jockey and optionally the Greyhound.
The 283A leaves Dewsbury 18:45 to arrive right outside the Scotland at around 19:14. If you wish to start earlier then you could get the 281 to Birstall Market place and walk from there (leaves Dewsbury 18:00).
Then it is an 11 minute walk to the Black Bull, then a shorter walk to the Horse & Jockey, then an optional further 5 minutes to the Greyhound.
