Pub dates from 1772. The Luddites met here in 1812 to plan the attack on Rawfolds Mill. Large U-shaped lounge with stained glass windows. Rescued from pubco abandonment in 2010, this well-loved historic pub features log fires and stained-glass windows. A room upstairs was used for secret meetings of Luddites as they planned their attacks on local mills 200 years ago. Fine views from the garden. Tuesday quiz, Sunday music quiz and occasional open mic sessions. Popular taproom provides TV, pool and traditional pub games. Three regular Ales plus changing Ales from renowned local and national breweries available. The landlady, Debbie, has recently taken over the helm.
