A compact craft beer bar opened May 2022 opposite the main town car park (with limited free parking). Drinks include up to three popular real ales served by knowledgeable bar staff. The cosy upstairs lounge (quieter) is also available for functions. Secluded patio to the rear. Originally a tap for Halifax Steam, new owners took over in early 2026 and have three carefully chosen ales, mostly from Yorkshire but also from Lancashire, usually direct from the brewery whether delivered or collected. Blues every Sunday, frequent rock music playing in the background. Beers are competitively priced, plus cheaper in Happy Hour, Wednesdays 4-7pm.
